- 4 salmon fillets, salted and seasoned to taste
- 6 tablespoons. Unsalted butter at room temperature (see note)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon of the prepared Cajun seasoning
Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Italian season
- 2 tsp. Paprika (smoked paprika, if available)
- cayenne pepper (1 teaspoon)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, cracked – or 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, finely ground
- A quarter teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
Instructions
- To prepare the salmon, paint it dry. Brush with oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the ingredients for the Cajun seasoning in a small bowl.
- Add the softened butter to a mixing bowl and beat with a handheld mixer until fluffy.
- When it is light, add the honey gradually while mixing to initiate the butter.
- Add the cajun seasoning and incorporate it into the honey-butter mixture.
- Preheat your grill or pan and cook the salmon for 6 to 8 minutes. Flip and cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and add the honey-butter mixture over the salmon. Let the butter melt and spread it nicely on the salmon. Flip and repeat on the other side.
- Serve and enjoy.
