Easy Southern Pecan Pie

A great pecan pie recipe is always worth knowing and this one is delicious. It’s also really simple to make and great for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 9-inch frozen or unbaked pie crust
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2½ cups roughly chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup corn syrup, light or dark
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 
  2. Put the nuts in the pie shell.
  3. Mix the eggs with the corn syrup, sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  4. Pour this over the pecans.
  5. Bake for 55 minutes to an hour, or until the middle jiggles just a little and the edges are fully set.
  6. Cool for 2 hours then serve.
