Ingredients

- 1½ pounds ground beef
- 4 cups water
- Red Sazon and/or Sazon Perfecta, for seasoning (see notes)
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 can Rotel tomatoes
- 2 cups uncooked pasta shells
- 4 tablespoons granulated tomato broth
- 2 tablespoons granulated chicken broth
- 3 minced serrano chili peppers
- ½ chopped yellow onion
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Onion powder, to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a large skillet until cooked, and then drain off the excess grease.
- Stir in the Sazon and black pepper.
- Cook the pasta for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Stir the pasta into the beef mixture, add all the other ingredients and stir.
- Cover and simmer gently until the pasta is tender, then discard the bayleaf and serve.
