Pepperoni Pizza Bread

Italian stromboli is such a classic dish. It’s also like a combination of pizza and Italian grinder sandwiches. Meat and cheese is rolled up in bread dough and baked until crisp and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 thawed loaf frozen bread dough
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ pound deli-sliced pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Roll out the thawed dough on a flour-dusted worktop to make a ¼-inch thick rectangle or oval.
  3. Add the mozzarella across the dough and layer the pepperoni over that.
  4. Roll the dough into a log with the pepperoni and mozzarella inside.
  5. Put the roll on to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or silicone baking mat and brush the melted butter across the top.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown on top and fully cooked.
  7. Cut into slices to serve.
