Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef cooked thoroughly
- 2 jars of Italian pasta sauce
- 1–16-ounce box of penne
- 15 ounce Ricotta cheese
- 15 ounces tomato paste
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup basil
- 2 cups parmesan, freshly shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella, freshly shredded
Instructions
- Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add the ricotta cheese and mix well to combine.
- In a second bowl, pour the two jars of pasta and tomato sauce.
- Grease your slow cooker and add two and one-third cups of sauce inside. Add ⅓ of the uncooked pasta to the slow cooker.
- Add ricotta cheese and spread it in an even layer. Add one cup of grated parmesan cheese over that.
- Add the ground beef and spread it evenly. Add the remaining sauce mixture over the ground beef.
- Add 2 1/3 cups of the sauce mixture over that. Add the remaining uncooked pasta. Repeat in the same order as the first layer, finishing with the remaining sauce on top.
- Close the lid and cook on high for two to three hours. A few minutes before finishing, you should add mozzarella and let it melt.
- Serve and enjoy!
