Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak, a flavorful and aromatic Chinese-inspired classic dish, is a great meal to serve on family gatherings like the upcoming holiday season. A hearty and satisfying meal that requires beef strips, bell peppers, say sauce, and herbs, you will surely not regret the hours you need to prepare and cook it.

  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 3 lbs. Flank steak cut into strips
  • 1 ½ C. Soy sauce
  • 4 Bell peppers sliced
  • 1 ½ C. Water
  • 2 Onions sliced
  • ½ C. Cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 C. Brown sugar


  1. Add the beef strips to a mixing bowl, and sprinkle with the cornstarch. Toss to coat well.
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, olive oil and minced garlic until well combined.
  3. Pour the sauce into the slow cooker, and add the beef strips into the slow cooker as well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 1 ½ hours.
  5. Open the slow cooker and add in the onions and bell peppers. Stir to combine.
  6. Cover and cook for another 4 ½ hours on low.
