- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 – 11oz caramel bits
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup evaporated milk
- ¾ cup melted unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- ⅓ cup canola oil
- 11 ounces butterscotch chips
- 1 container chocolate fudge frosting
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Beat the cake mix with the eggs, oil and milk until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven.
- Melt the butterscotch chips with the butter and evaporated milk in a saucepan.
- Stir until smooth, then pour over the baked cake.
- Sprinkle the nuts and chocolate chips on top.
- Spoon the remaining cake batter on top and then bake for 20 minutes.
- Cool completely, then frost with the chocolate fudge frosting and sprinkle over more nuts and chocolate chips.
