Big Boy’s Fresh Strawberry Pie

If you loved the desserts from the Big Boy’s restaurant, we have a copycat version for you. The delightful strawberry pie has an authentic homemade taste and is easy to prepare. With juicy strawberries and a jelly mixture that holds everything together, the pie is a real hit for the summer.


  • 1 frozen pie crust
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 tbsp strawberry jelly
  • 2 cups strawberries sliced


  1. Prepare the frozen pie crust according to the instructions on the package. Let it cool down completely. 
  2. Add sugar, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk well to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce it. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the cornstarch thickens the mixture.
  4. Add the strawberry jelly and combine well to combine. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Add the sliced strawberries over the cooled pie crust. Top with the sugar mixture. 
  6. Let the strawberry pie firm in the fridge for a few hours before cutting.
