- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 ⁄2-pound ground beef
- 1 ⁄2 small head of cabbage shredded finely
- 1 red bell pepper cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon of Cornstarch
- 1 ⁄2 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic cloves and saute for 5 seconds. You can also prepare this recipe in a wok.
- Add the ground beef and break it down with a wooden spoon. Cook until brown.
- Drain The excess grease and add the cabbage and red bell pepper. Cook until the veggies are soft.
- Mix the cold water, soy sauce, and starch in a small bowl. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir it in.
- Add pepper and salt to taste. Cook until the cornstarch thickens the mixture.
