- 8 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- ¼ cup Dark Brown Sugar Packed
- 1 ½ cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder Rounded
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 ¼ cup whole Milk
Filling:
- 3 ½ cup Fresh Blackberries
- ½ tsp Cinnamon Ground
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet with baking spray.
- Add the butter to the skillet and melt it in the oven.
- Add the brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 ½ all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl. Mix to combine.
- Add the milk and mix well to combine.
- Add the flour mixture over the melted butter, ensuring it is spread evenly.
- Combine the blackberries, vanilla, cinnamon, 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
- Add the blackberry mixture over the crust in the skillet.
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until the crust has a golden color. Serve warm and enjoy.
