- 750g Beef (tenderloin or rump steak)
- 250g white basmati rice
- 3 medium onions finely chopped
- 4 sprigs of cilantro
- 2 tbsp. tablespoon soy sauce
- 4 tbsp. peanut oil
- 1 tbsp. Cornstarch
- Salt
- Ground pepper
Instructions
- Cut beef into thin strips and strain it into a mixing bowl.
- Add the onion, peanut oil, soy sauce, salt, e-paper, and cornstarch. Mix well to combine.
- Place in the fridge and leave for 30 minutes so the beef will marinate in the mixture.
- Prepare the rice according to the instructions and set aside.
- Add two tablespoons to a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the beef from the marinade, but don’t discard it. Cook the meat in batches for two minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add a tablespoon of oil. When hot, cook the onion until tender.
- Pour in the beef marinade and boil.
- Add the cooked beef, cilantro, salt, and pepper, and simmer for two minutes.
- Serve over a bed of rice, and enjoy.
