Cinnamon Bread

Cinnamon bread is a favorite for autumn and winter but can easily be adapted as a year-round recipe. We love the comforting feel it offers on a cold and rainy day. The wonderful cinnamon aroma that spreads during baking is integral to the culinary experience, building anticipation as family members are eager to taste it.

  • Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¾ cup White Sugar
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1 ½ Whole Milk
  • 6 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1 tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter Melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, add flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well to combine.
  3. Add the milk, eggs, oil, and sugar in a second mixing bowl. Beat with a hand mixer until incorporated and smooth.
  4. Add the wet ingredients mix from the second bowl to the first bowl. Stir until incorporated.
  5. Mix the cinnamon, sugar, and butter in a small bowl and set aside.
  6. Pour the cinnamon bread batter into the greased loaf pan.
  7. Add the cinnamon sugar mixture on top and swirl it with a knife. Bake for an hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool slightly before cutting it into pieces.
