Quick and Easy Pizza Garnished with Fresh Basil

Quick And Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

This quick and easy Pizza Dough goes together in a flash, contains no yeast and is a fabulous way to make a delicious homemade pizza for your family. Beats the heck out of any pizza dough mix!

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: Makes 1 large pizza, serving 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 TBS baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup butter, at room temperature

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 450*F. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment. Alternately prepare a large (14-inch) pizza pan accordingly.
    2. Measure all of the ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer. Using the dough hook, mix on low speed until a ball begins to form. (The dough may be quite sticky.)
    3. Tip out onto a well-floured board and shape into a ball or rectangle using well-floured hands.
    4. Transfer to the baking sheet or the pizza pan.
    5. Roll out to either a rectangle or a round in the desired pan. You can use your floured hands to press it out if that is easier. Using a 12 by 15 inch baking tin, I got a crust which was approximately ¼ inch thick. (Remember it is going to rise a fair bit in the oven.)
    6. Spread with your preferred Pizza Sauce and toppings.
    7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown around the edges and on the bottom.
    8. Cool slightly and cut into wedges to enjoy!
