Mom’s Fudge

The marshmallow fluff is what gives this delight its gooey and fudgy texture. We added vanilla extract for that sweet aroma. It is a classic and simple recipe that moms prepared for us, and we eagerly waited for the mixture to set.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ C. Butter unsalted
  • 2 ½ C. Granulated sugar
  • C. Evaporated milk
  • 12 oz. Bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 oz. Marshmallow fluff
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9 casserole dish with aluminum foil and grease with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Add the butter, milk, and sugar in a saucepan. Set the mixture on high heat and boil while constantly whisking.
  3. When it comes to a boil, reduce to medium and cook for 5 minutes. Make sure to whisk frequently so the mixture doesn’t burn.
  4. Remove the butter mixture from heat and add chocolate chips. Whisk until they are melted from the heat.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and marshmallow fluff. Whisk well to combine.
  6. Pour the prepared mixture into the baking dish. Let it chill in the fridge for a couple of hours. When it is set, you can slice and enjoy.
