Philly Cheese Meatloaf

Everyone needs to know a great meatloaf recipe and if you love meatloaf and Philly cheesesteaks, you’re really going to enjoy this moist and delicious one!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Saute the bell pepper and onion in a skillet until tender.
  3. Put the beef and cooked vegetables in a mixing bowl with the panko, worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic, salt, and black pepper, and knead to mix.
  4. Divide the mixture in half and put one half in a loaf pan or make a loaf shape on a baking sheet.
  5. Top with the provolone cheese and then the other half of the meat mixture to completely enclose the provolone.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, top with the mozzarella and bake for a further 15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
