Southern Fried Tuna Patties

The simple recipe brings the Southern flavors to your plate while not sacrificing convenience. You can have the fried tuna patties ready within half an hour and enjoy them with your family.

Ingredients

  • 1 Can of tuna drained
  • ¼ C. Onion finely chopped
  • ¼ C. All-purpose flour
  • ¼ C. Cornmeal
  • 1 Large egg
  • 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Transfer the tuna to a mixing bowl and tear apart with a fork.
  2. Add chopped onion, all purpose flour, cornmeal, ehh, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix well and shape four patties.
  3. Add about one inch of cooking oil to a skillet and heat it over medium heat. 
  4. When the oil is sizzling hot, fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
