Breakfast Pizza

It takes everything you love about a hearty morning meal — eggs, cheese, crispy bacon or sausage — and layers it over a golden crust for a fun, satisfying twist on breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 –3 tbsp flour
  • 1 –1 ½ cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Separate the biscuits and press them together onto a baking sheet, forming a single pizza-style crust. Pinch the seams to seal.
  3. Bake for 5–6 minutes, just until lightly set. Remove from oven and set aside.
  4. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Divide the sausage in half and set one portion aside.
  5. With the remaining sausage still in the skillet, sprinkle in flour and stir well. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until a thick gravy forms. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. In a separate skillet, scramble the eggs to your preferred doneness.
  7. Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust.
  8. Top with scrambled eggs, the reserved sausage, and shredded cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
