Prepare the zucchini:

Mix the base:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained zucchini, egg, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Shape the breadsticks:
- Press the zucchini mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, creating a flat, compact layer.

First bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Add the topping:
- Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Second bake:
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown.
