Classic Peach Cobbler Recipe

You only need four ingredients to make this exquisite peach cobbler. It’s a great dessert for the warmer months combining sweet and juicy peaches with a sweet crispy topping. Whether paired with ice cream or whipped cream, this makes a fantastic dessert after any kind of meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup white sugar plus more for topping
  • 9 ounces canned sliced peaches in syrup not drained
  • Ground cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix the flour with the white sugar and half of the butter, adding a pinch of cinnamon too, if liked.
  3. Sprinkle about a third of the flour mixture into a 9-inch square baking dish.
  4. Add the peaches on top with all of the juice if you like a lot of sauce or half of the juice if not.
  5. Add the rest of the flour mixture and then sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar on top.
  6. Drizzle the rest of the melted butter on top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown on top.
  8. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then serve hot.
