Cream Dream Puffs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 tablespoons butter 1 stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar

FOR THE FILLING:

  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding 3.4 ounces

Instructions
 

  • Put the butter, water, sugar, and vanilla in a pan and bring to a boil.
  • Stir in the flour and keep stirring and cooking until it forms a ball.
  • Remove the mixture from the pan and cool.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Now beat one egg at a time into the cooled flour mixture.
  • Drop tablespoons of the mixture on to parchment paper lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Turn the oven heat down to 350 degrees F and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and cut a slit into the side of each one with a sharp knife.
  • Let them cool completely.
  • Beat the filling ingredient together until thick and then pipe or scoop it into the cooled puffs.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
