Method
Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Make the crust:
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender, fork, or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust layer.

Bake the crust:
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until it is just starting to turn golden. Remove from oven and set aside.
Prepare the filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, light corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Add pecans:
- Stir the chopped pecans into the filling mixture.

Assemble the bars:
- Pour the pecan filling evenly over the pre-baked crust.

Bake the bars:
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden around the edges. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.

Cool and serve:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares. Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed.

- Enjoy!
