  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the beef and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then simmer for 3–5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
  6. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain thoroughly.
  7. Spread half of the noodles evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Top with half of the cream cheese mixture, followed by half of the meat sauce.
  9. Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
  10. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  11. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  12. Enjoy!
