Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Flaky, buttery crescent rolls wrapped around a creamy, savory sausage filling—this is a recipe that works just as well for a slow weekend breakfast as it does for a party appetizer or holiday brunch spread. It’s simple, familiar, and incredibly satisfying, which is exactly why it’s been a favorite in so many households for years.
Course: Appetizer, Breakfast, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage breakfast, Italian, or your choice
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheese any type you like
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll out crescent dough and cut each triangle in half lengthwise.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll dough over filling to form mini crescents.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
  6. Enjoy!
