Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 large carrots peeled and sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the slow cooker:
  1. Place the beef stew meat in the bottom of your slow cooker, spreading it evenly.
Add the vegetables:
  1. Layer the sliced carrots, diced potatoes, and chopped onion on top of the beef.
Season and add broth:
  1. Pour the beef broth over the meat and vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the stew:
  1. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
Serve:
  1. Once done, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with fresh bread or over rice for a hearty, comforting meal.
