Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large potatoes diced
  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

Brown the beef:
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
Prepare the slow cooker:
  1. Add the diced potatoes, sliced carrots, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
Combine ingredients:
  1. Add the browned ground beef on top of the vegetables. Pour in the beef broth and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
Cook the stew:
  1. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6–8 hours, or on high for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes and carrots are tender and the flavors are well blended.
Finish and serve:
