Method
Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mix sugars and eggs:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and beaten eggs. Beat well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Add oil and vanilla:
- Slowly add the vegetable oil and vanilla extract to the sugar and egg mixture. Mix until fully incorporated.

Incorporate flour:
- Gradually stir in the self-rising flour. Mix just until combined — do not overmix, or the bread may become tough.

Fold in pecans:
- Gently fold the finely chopped pecans into the batter until evenly distributed.

Bake the bread:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool before slicing:
- Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

- Enjoy!
