Taco Pizza

Combining the cheesy, melty goodness of pizza with the zesty, savory flavors of a classic taco, this recipe is fun, easy, and guaranteed to please the whole family. It’s a meal that brings all the best parts of a taco night to a pizza crust, which means fewer dishes and more time enjoying your food.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large prepared pizza crust
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1/3 cup pico de gallo or salsa
  • 1 ½ cups shredded taco or Mexican blend cheese
  • Shredded lettuce chopped tomatoes, chopped green onions, and sour cream for topping

Method
 

Preheat the oven:
  1. Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cook the beef:
  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
Season the beef:
  1. Add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef and stir for 2–3 minutes until the seasoning is well combined and the meat is flavorful.
Prepare the bean layer:
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the refried beans and pico de gallo (or salsa) until evenly combined.
Assemble the pizza:
  1. Spread the bean mixture evenly over the pizza crust. Layer the seasoned ground beef on top, then sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the meat.
Bake:
  1. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Add fresh toppings:
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven. Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, green onions, and a drizzle of sour cream. Add any additional toppings you like.
Serve:
  1. Slice and enjoy immediately!
