If you like baked ziti and you are also a fan of lasagna, this spaghetti casserole is definitely going to win you over. It’s really creamy and cheesy. It’s also easy to prepare and cook. And it goes without saying this is a very easy dish to eat!

The recipe makes quite a lot but since it reheats well it doesn’t matter if you’re only cooking for two because you can reheat portions of it and it’ll taste just as delicious as when it first came out of the oven. Pair it with a salad or some veggies or even, if you don’t mind carb overload, garlic bread!

Using four different types of cheese helps make this spaghetti casserole really creamy and delicious. It’s the perfect meal for cheese fans and once you’ve tasted this dish you won’t want your spaghetti served any other way!

Why You’ll Love the Recipe:

This dreamy, creamy spaghetti recipe is so delicious. If you like your pasta not only with a rich and bold-flavored meat sauce but also with huge amounts of cheese, this is going to please your palate!

How to Serve It:

Enjoy it hot, perhaps paired with steamed or grilled vegetables or a salad.

Can You Make It Ahead?

You can but it’s best served fresh.

Storage Instructions:

Leftovers will keep for up to 3 days in a covered container in the fridge. This dish isn’t good to freeze because the dairy ingredients separate out.

Variations and Substitutions:

If you’re wondering whether you can swap the spaghetti for other pasta shapes, the answer is no, not with this recipe. These noodles are designed to hold up to the heavy sauce and spaghetti comes out perfectly cooked. But you can tweak the recipe, adding extra vegetables if you want or use other types of cheese.

Ingredients:

  • Uncooked spaghetti
  • Ground beef
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Cottage cheese
  • Cream cheese, at room temperature
  • Melted butter
  • Sour cream
  • Parmesan cheese, as needed
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

How to make Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2. Cook the spaghetti following the instructions on the package and drain well.

Step 3. Cook the beef in a skillet until completely browned and discard the grease.

Step 4. Stir the sauce with the meat.

Step 5. Mix the sour cream with the cottage cheese and cream cheese in a bowl.

Step 6. Spread the butter over the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

Step 7. Add half the spaghetti on top and add the cheese mixture on top of that.

Step 8. Put the remaining spaghetti on top and then add the meat and sauce mixture.

Step 9. Bake for 30 minutes, sprinkle parmesan cheese on top and bake for 15 more minutes.

Step 10. Serve hot.

This rich and creamy million dollar spaghetti casserole is a cheese lover’s dream. It’s buttery, creamy, cheesy and very satisfying.
