Are you craving delicious and gooey pizza but not enough time to make it from scratch? Also, you don’t have to order pizza to enjoy its amazing flavor. I feature the perfect recipe: pizza on garlic bread. It is like the shortcut to enjoying your favorite flavor, but this time, it’s enhanced with cheese and garlic.

All you need to do is lay your pizza ingredients over your Texas toast, bake it, and have an amazing snack or an easy dinner. This recipe saves me from those moments when I haven’t prepared anything for dinner and come home late.

But it also works well if you need an appetizer for your guests. I know you might not always have the time to cook a feast, so adding this to the table will enhance the offer. The garlic bread takes the pizza recipe to the next level. I love how it adds depth to the flavor.

The pizza on garlic bread takes just a few ingredients, but you can always customize it to your liking. I added pizza sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella, but you can always experiment with your favorite pizza ingredients.

I will share the recipe and some suggestions on coming up with different variations. So, let’s get to the kitchen!

Ingredients

  • Frozen Texas Toast
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Pepperoni or toppings of your choice
  • Shredded Mozzarella cheese

How to make Pizza on Garlic Bread:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a baking tray and set aside.

Spread some pizza sauce over each Texas toast slice. Add the pepperoni or other toppings of your choice over the sauce.

Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella on top.

Bake the pizza bread for 5-8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve and enjoy!

How to make different pizza variations?

I shared the recipe for the classic pepperoni pizza, but you can always customize the ingredients. I have also tried to make pizza margherita with shredded mozzarella, dried basil, and tomato slices. You can also go for a veggie pizza and add olives, red onion, bell peppers, and cooked mushrooms on top. Sometimes, I like to add shredded cheese, cooked bacon, and sliced pepperoni for that extra flavor. These are examples of what I use, but you can always experiment with flavors. Go for ham, turkey deli, or sausage. Feel free to add cooked chicken, different types of cheeses, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, different herbs, and caramelized onion. With so many combinations to choose from, you can always enjoy a unique pizza flavor.

How to store it?

I believe that you will eat the pizzas while still fresh because they are so irresistible. We all know that pizza tastes the best when fresh out of the oven. But you can always store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They will last around 5 days. When ready to consume, you can reheat them in the microwave or oven.
