Are you a huge fudge lover and want to prepare a delicious treat? I have you covered! The Reese’s Pieces fudge isn’t something that you will only prepare on the holidays. It is a simple and easy dessert that you can enjoy throughout the whole year.

This recipe is ideal for Thanksgiving with all those nice colors, but you can enjoy it year-round. This recipe is a simplified version of the traditional fudge, and you need to take a few steps to ensure it is done right. But this one is very simple and easy and can be done quickly. I did it with a chocolate cake mix for that extra flavor and fudgy texture. I added some Reese’s Pieces to create a faux-inspired version, but you can always use other candies, and it will come out fine. Being creamy and delicious, it is a perfect option to sweeten those holidays and gifts to someone.

Yes, I like to pack this in nice bags and give it to my friends and family.

Are you ready to get started? Let’s head to the kitchen together!

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate cake mix
  • Confectioners sugar
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Reese’s Pieces, plus extra to decorate the top of the fudge

How to make Reese’s Pieces Fudge:

Add the chocolate cake mix and confectioners’ sugar into a mixing bowl.

In a second bowl, combine milk and butter using a hand-held mixer. Add the chocolate cake mix and beat until combined.

Add 3 quarters of the Reese’s Pieces and fold them in with a spatula.

Grease a 9×9 baking dish with butter and transfer the mixture in. Distribute it evenly with your spatula.

Add the remaining Reese’s Pieces on top.

Place the baking dish in the fridge and let it cool down for a couple of hours.

Slice into squares and enjoy!

How to store it?

I like to store it in a cake stand on my counter. This way everyone can grab a sweet treat, but you can always store it in the fridge if you want it to last longer. I like to store them between pieces of baking paper so they won’t stick. Also, you can freeze the fudge this way and store it for up to 3 months. Store overnight and enjoy the same flavor as the day you made it.

Can I substitute Reese’s Pieces?

I use these to bring the full-color palette and add crunch. But you can always use other ingredients if you don’t have these handy. One of the great options for a swatch is chopped nuts. Walnuts, almonds, pecans, and peanuts add an earthy flavor to your favorite desserts. You can also stir some white chocolate chips for that lovely contrast. You can also substitute the RISI pieces with M&M candies for a pop of color. Toffee bits are another excellent combination to consider, especially if you’re making a fall-inspired version. Crushed Oreos give your fudge a distinct texture and a really nice flavor. Also, you can use a combination of chopped nuts and dried fruits, such as apricots and cranberries. Feel free to fold in some mini marshmallows for a gooey texture.
