If you have a sweet tooth, you probably already have a lot of go-to recipes to satisfy it. However, if you’re in the mood for something different, what about this simple caramelitas recipe? It’s a mouthwatering combination of melted butter, brown sugar, oats, chocolate chips, and silky caramel candies.

The kitchen smells incredible while these are baking in the oven and then you can sink your teeth into this delightful and delicious candy recipe. Whether you enjoy one (or two, who’s counting!) as a sweet snack with your morning coffee or tea, or you have some for dessert, you’re sure to adore all the amazing flavors in every bite.

Choose old-fashioned oats rather than quick oats because they’re chewier and offer a nicer texture than quick oats which are mainly just for making a quick breakfast! As for the chocolate chips, choose milk chocolate, semisweet or even both.

Caramelitas are a heavenly combination of chocolate, oats, caramels and more. They aren’t hard to make and they make such a wonderful sweet treat.
