This delicious snack recipe is made with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and garlic. That wonderful combination is nestled inside mushroom caps so you can enjoy them as finger food at any kind of occasion or gathering.

Whether you’re considering your options for a dinner party or looking for finger food ideas, or even torn between the idea of stuffed mushrooms and poppers, this is the fabulous fusion recipe you need. They offer a variety of flavors and textures in each mouthful.

Earthy mushrooms contrast so well with the spicy jalapenos and these never stay on the buffet table for long! You can prepare them ahead and just heat them up whenever you’re ready. Oh, and just in case you need yet another reason to love these mushroom poppers, they’re low in carbs!

Why You’ll Love the Recipe:

Juicy mushrooms are filled with a bacon, cheese and garlic mixture. Served hot, these poppers are incredibly tasty!

How to Serve Them:

Let the mushroom poppers cool for a few minutes before serving, as they will be very hot! Serve them as finger food snacks and don’t forget the napkins.

Can You Make Them Ahead?

Yes, you can assemble them ahead and keep refrigerated, then just cook them later on.

Variations and Substitutions:

Swap the mushrooms for mini peppers or the cheddar for smoked gouda. You can also use sun-dried tomatoes in place of the crispy bacon for a vegetarian version.

Ingredients needed:

  • Whole white button mushrooms
  • Jalapenos
  • Minced garlic cloves
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cream cheese
  • Chopped cooked bacon

How to make Jalapeño Popper Mushrooms:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Take the stems off the mushrooms.

Mix the cream cheese, drained jalapenos, garlic, cheddar cheese, and bacon together.

Fill the mushroom caps with the cream cheese mixture.

Arrange them on a baking rack on top of a foil-covered baking sheet.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly, then serve.

These juicy little bites are so tasty. They’re ideal for any kind of party or gathering. It’s worth doubling up, since everyone will want several of these and they disappear really fast! You can keep the leftovers and reheat them too.

Storage Instructions:

Leftovers will keep for 2 or 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Warm them back up in an air fryer or in the oven.
