Air Fryer Chicken Wings {Quick + Crispy}

Forget about your deep fryer and instead preheat your air fryer. Because that’s the gadget of choice for making the crispiest, tastiest chicken wings you ever had. It’s hard to make them in the oven, or at least not as easy as frying or air frying.

So, choose the air fryer if you want the best wings which are super-crispy without having to plunge them into boiling fat. The hot air speeding all around the chicken wings gets them perfectly crispy on the inside and keeps them juicy, succulent and moist on the inside.

You don’t need breading or batter here either, so you can keep the wings gluten-free and low carb without any additional effort. Wings take less than 20 mines to cook to perfection in an air fryer and they taste every bit as deep fried wings would.

Why You’ll Love the Recipe:

Air fryer wings are so easy to make. You simply toss them in seasonings and they’re ready to cook by the time your air fryer has heated up. They come out golden, crispy and gorgeous.

How to Serve Them:

Serve these with ranch dressing or, if you prefer, blue cheese dressing. Some cucumber and carrot sticks on the side are always a good pairing for wings.

Can You Make Them Ahead?

You could although they’re crispiest made and served fresh.

Variations and Substitutions

Feel free to use all drums, all flats or a combination of both if you want. You can also add some red pepper flakes to spice them up if you wish.

Ingredients needed:

  • Chicken wings
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Chopped parsley and/or ranch dressing
  • Salt and black pepper

How to make Air Fryer Chicken Wings {Quick + Crispy}:

Preheat the air fryer to 380°F and spritz the basket with cooking spray.

Pat the wings dry and then put them in a bowl with the oil, paprika and garlic, as well as some salt and pepper, and toss to coat.

Put the wings in the air fryer but don’t let them touch.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Turn the heat up to 400°F and cook for another 6 to 8 minutes or until golden and crisp.

Garnish with parsley and offer ranch dressing on the side.

Air fryer chicken wings are well worth making. They’re a great appetizer and take less than half an hour to make from scratch. The air fryer gets them so crispy too.

Storage Instructions:

Leftovers will keep for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Heat them back up for about 4 minutes at 360°F in the air fryer. You can also freeze them as long as you let them cool completely first and then transfer them into a freezer-safe container.
