Are you looking for a delicious appetizer that will impress everyone? The Squared Antipasto is definitely the right choice.

The rich layers of salami, pepperoni, ham, and cheese, squished with crushed and rolled dough, will become the perfect hit. You can serve them during family dinners or offer them to your guests. Either way, be sure that everyone will be truly amazed with this meal.

The combination might remind you of your favorite Italian sandwich, but it is even better this time. When you layer all the ingredients according to my instructions, you will end up with a rich and gooey filling. Also, covering it with the egg mixture creates a nice golden brown crust. I like to cut them into small squares and serve them as finger foods for my parties.

There is no better recipe to feed a crowd. But also, this is a simple and easy dinner recipe for those moments when you don’t feel like cooking. All you need to do is get the crushed and rolled dough and layer it with the ingredients.

Bake, and you will have a delicious meal waiting for you.

Ingredients:
- Crescent roll dough
- Salami
- Pepperoni
- Deli ham
- Provolone slices
- Swiss Cheese slices
- Parmesan Cheese
- Basil flavored Pesto
- Eggs
- Roasted Red Peppers

How to make Squared Antipasto:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish. Lay one crescent roll in the dish and gently pinch the perforation.
Add a layer of ham, followed by a layer of Swiss cheese.

Then, lay salami and provolone over it. Add a layer of pepperoni again.

Add a layer of pepperoni and top with roasted red pepper slices.

Add the second dough on top and pinch the edges to close them.

Add parmesan, pesto, and eggs into a small mixing bowl.

Whisk well until combined. Distribute this mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough.

Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Cut into small squares and enjoy!
Is the egg mixture on top a must?
The topping made of parmesan, Basil, pesto, and eggs is one of the secret tricks for this recipe. The whisked eggs create a nice glaze that gets a golden color. The pesto adds flavor to the dough, but you can omit it if you want a mild version.

How to store it?
Even though this recipe will be gone soon, you can always store the leftovers if there are any. Store it in airtight containers or ziplock bags in the fridge, and it can last up to 3 days. This is perfect if you want to prepare your appetizers ahead of time and serve them on the day of the party. I like to reheat them in the microwave or oven so the cheese is nice and melted.
