Your family asked for a Big Mac? You no longer have to take them to McDonald’s. Today, I will show you how to make a similar version at home with ingredients you already have in your pantry. I get it; taking your kids out often might go beyond your budget. If you still want to enjoy the Big Mac flavor, this recipe is perfect for you.

The Big Mac French toast is a delicious recipe that merges the flavors of these two dishes. It is one of the successful kitchen experiments that I had to share with you. Once, my family wanted to go to McDonalds to eat and enjoy. But the weather was so bad we couldn’t go past our driveway. I instantly started thinking about ways to replicate their favorite flavors. There weren’t any burger buns in my pantry, so I decided to go with toasted bread. Although this combination might sound unusual, it came out very delicious. And everyone loved my newly developed recipe! Since then, I have made it occasionally when my family needs comfort foods.

Now I want to share this recipe with you. I bet you have the ingredients needed so you can get started immediately. Lets go to the kitchen and prepare the Big Mac french toast!

Ingredients:

  • Ground beef
  • Bread
  • American cheese
  • Half an onion sliced thin
  • Olive oil
  • Bacon
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Big Mac sauce optional

How to make Big Mac French Toast:

Season the ground beef with salt and pepper according to your liking. Then, shape it into patties.

Cook the patties in oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until brown. Remove and set aside.

Cook the onions until soft. Remove and set aside.

Add the bacon to the same pan and cook it until crispy. Remove and set aside.

Add heavy whipping cream, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder into a bowl. Mix well until combined.

Dip the bread in this mixture and cook until crispy on both sides.

When done, add the toasted bread to your working surface. Now, you can add some Big Mac sauce if desired.

Add the patty over the toasted bread slice and layer cheese, cooked onion, and two bacon slices. Top with the second toasted bread and repeat with the second sandwich.

Serve and enjoy!

What is the secret?

The secret to the best Big Mac French toast is to layer a juicy patty, a slice of cheese, and delicious bacon. Don’t forget about the Big Mac sauce; it helps achieve that authentic flavor.

What to serve it with?

French fries are the ultimate side dish to pair with your Big Mac french toast. But you can also go with sweet potato fries or zucchini fries for a different version.
