- 1 Packet of dry active yeast
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp. Salt
- ¼ C. Granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 3–4 C. All-purpose flour
Instructions
- Add the dry active yeast and warm water into a mixing bowl. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes so the yeast activates.
- Add the egg, flour, salt, sugar, and oil to the mixing bowl. Mix well until you have a smooth dough. If needed, add more flour.
- Grease a large bowl and add the prepared dough.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and leave it in a warm area for an hour.
- Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray. Knead the dough and lay it in the loaf pan.
- Leave the pan with the dough for one more hour in a warm area to rise.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Bake the country white bread for 30 minutes or until cooked thoroughly.
