Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

  • 8 oz. Dried beef in a jar chopped into pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter unsalted
  • 2 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
  • 1 C. Milk
  • ½ C. Heavy whipping cream
  • Pepper to taste
  • Toast

Instructions

  1. Add the 2 tablespoons to a skier over medium heat. Stir until melted.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the melted butter in the skillet. 
  3. Use a whisk to mix and break down any lumps. Cook the sauce for 2 minutes or until creamy and fully cooked.
  4. Add the milk gradually while constantly whisking. 
  5. Next, add the heavy whipping cream while continuing to whisk
  6. Season with pepper. 
  7. Turn the heat to medium and bring the sauce to a simmer, whisking frequently to prevent burning and ensure a smooth consistency. 
  8. When the sauce is thick, add the dried beef to the skillet and mix. 
  9. Cook for 3-5 minutes and serve the cream-chipped beef on toast.
