Ingredients:
- Peaches, drained
- Crescent roll dough
- Butter
- Light brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Ground cinnamon, combined with the granulated sugar
- Sprite or another brand of lemon-lime soda
- Vanilla ice cream for serving

How to make Peachy Peach Dumplings:
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking pan.
Separate the crescent dough into triangles and place one or two peach slices on the long end of the crescent rolls.

Add sugar and cinnamon over each. Roll the dough around the peaches and press the end to secure it.

Align the dough over the greased baking sheet. Once you’re done with that, add the butter to a microwave-safe bowl and melt it in the microwave.

Brush the dumplings with a generous amount of melted butter.

Pour the soda in the baking dish around the crescent roll dough and not on the top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until it is light golden.
Serve and enjoy!

What is the secret for the best peach dumplings?
I added some lemon-lime soda to the baking dish. During baking, the water evaporates and helps the crushed rolls cook evenly. But also, it adds a little bit of flavor and sweetness.
Can I use fresh peaches instead of canned ones?
I used canned peaches for this recipe just for the sake of convenience. But you can also use fresh peaches sliced thinly. But make sure to peel it first, so you won’t have to taste the peel.
How to store it?
The peach dumplings are fine if left up to 24 hours on the counter but can last longer if left in the fridge. Plus, I love when they’re cold. Simply serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy the crispy and tender dough.
