This Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler elevates the classic pairing of warm, juicy peaches with a sweet, tender crust to a whole new level. It may seem strange to use Krispy Kreme doughnuts as the foundation, but believe me, it works incredibly well. The cobbler is rich, cozy, and simply irresistible thanks to the doughnuts’ light, fluffy texture, which perfectly absorbs the peach juices. This peach cobbler is sure to please any sweet tooth in the house, whether you’re craving a sweet treat for a summer get-together, family dinner, or just a relaxing night in.

What Makes This Recipe My Favorite?

This recipe is so flavorful, quick, and simple that I adore it. Making a traditional crust is no longer necessary when using Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which saves time without sacrificing flavor. The peaches’ sweetness and the doughnuts’ soft, melt-in-your-mouth base are perfectly balanced in every bite. It’s the kind of dessert that evokes fond memories of summertime get-togethers and makes everyone feel welcome.

Serving Recommendations

Serve this cobbler warm, right out of the oven, with a dollop of freshly whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle some caramel or peach syrup on top for added decadence. It’s ideal as a brunch treat, dessert after supper, or even as a sweet snack to go with tea or coffee.

Freezing and Storage

Cover the cobbler tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days if you have leftovers (though they probably won’t last long!). Warm up portions in the oven or microwave to enjoy later. Separate portions should be frozen for up to two months in airtight containers. Before reheating, let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Different Iterations of the Recipe

This is a very flexible recipe. For a fruity twist, substitute peaches for apples, blueberries, or fresh or canned cherries. For added warmth and flavor depth, you can also sprinkle the peaches with nutmeg or cinnamon before baking. Add some mascarpone or cream cheese for a richer, creamier texture and a more decadent version.

Simple, sweet, and irresistible, this Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler is the ideal dessert that blends convenience, nostalgia, and mouthwatering flavor. It’s sure to become a family favorite once you give it a try.

Ingredients Method

Ingredients

  • 1 box Krispy Kreme doughnuts adjust as needed
  • 32 oz frozen peach slices
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or to taste
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup evaporated milk Carnation brand recommended
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method

Cook the peaches:
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the frozen peach slices, 1/2 cup brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until the peaches are softened and the mixture becomes fragrant.
Thicken the sauce:
  1. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water until smooth. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the peaches and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly. Remove from heat.
Prepare the cream mixture:
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, evaporated milk, eggs, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon until smooth and fully combined.
Soak the doughnuts:
  1. Cut the Krispy Kreme doughnuts into bite-sized pieces. Place them in the cream mixture and let them soak for about 5 minutes, allowing the dough to absorb the custard.
Assemble the cobbler:
  1. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour the cooked peaches evenly into the bottom of the pan. Remove the doughnut pieces from the custard (discard excess liquid) and arrange them over the peaches. Add a few extra peach slices on top if desired.
Bake:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cobbler for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the doughnuts are slightly golden.
Serve:
  1. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. For an extra indulgent treat, top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  2. Enjoy!
