We smothered the salmon in a mixture of butter, honey, and cajun seasoning for a unique gourmet experience. The butler creates a nice crisp while enhancing the flavor. But we are not done yet. One more secret trick for the best salmon is making your cajun seasoning.

Let’s reveal the chef’s tips on creating the best cajun honey butter salmon so you can impress everyone with your cooking skills!

What makes this recipe so unique?

Smothering the salmon filets in beaten honey and butter is the secret trick that makes it work. Beating these ingredients allows them to mix nicely and infuse their flavors in the tender salmon. Add the strong taste of homemade cajun seasoning to that, and you have a delicious meal that looks like it was made in a 5-star restaurant. Therefore, it is perfect for a BBQ party or outdoor gathering.

What to serve it with?

A grilled salmon with a honey butter mixture pairs well with simple sides. Steamed spinach is an excellent option to consider. Or go with the classic-roasted potatoes with a crispy outside and tender inside. Mashed potatoes also work well, as the creaminess pairs nicely with the buttery flavor. Grilled vegetables such as zucchini, bell pepper, and eggplant add vibrancy to the meal. Want a light and refreshing option? A simple iceberg salad with a lemon dressing adds a touch of freshness to your meal.

Ingredients:

  • Salmon fillets
  • Unsalted butter
  • Honey
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Italian season
  • Paprika
  • cayenne pepper
  • Onion powder
  • Black pepper
  • A quarter teaspoon of salt
