The traditional version is served with rice, but this recipe mixes the macaroni for a fantastic flavor combination. The Worcestershire sauce is another secret ingredient responsible for the tangy note.
What makes this recipe so unique?
The Americanized version of Chop Suey comes with macaroni and cheese on top to create a heartwarming meal for the weeknights. The herb mix is another secret trick for achieving the best flavor. We used parsley, basil, oregano, and garlic to infuse the meat with a solid herbal note. But you can also use Italian seasoning since it has the same herb blend. The Worcestershire sauce adds a smoky touch, pairing perfectly with the beef. You can add less or more to adjust the taste.
Can I substitute the beef?
The recipe is versatile and can be easily adjusted to your preference. Switching the beef with ground turkey works fine whether you want to explore flavors.
