White Christmas Fudge

December 22, 2025 //  by Ann

A batch of homemade fudge is the perfect way to capture the festive spirit when the holidays arrive. I have a particular place in my heart for White Christmas Fudge out of all the varieties. Every bite is a celebration thanks to its rich sweetness, creamy texture, and colorful bursts from dried fruits and holiday sprinkles. With its festive twist and classic white chocolate goodness, this fudge will light up your holiday table and your taste buds.

White Christmas Fudge’s ease of preparation, combined with its striking appearance and flavor, is what really makes it magical. After a long day of holiday preparations, you can indulge yourself or give as a gift with this rich treat made with just a few ingredients. Each piece is a delightful experience because of the combination of the crunchy nuts or chewy dried fruit with the creamy smoothness. For many years, this recipe has been a staple at family get-togethers, bringing back fond memories and bringing happiness with each bite.

Why Do I Love This Recipe?

I love this recipe because it’s incredibly easy and versatile but still produces a rich, velvety fudge that feels special. The white chocolate base is luxuriously smooth, and the added textures from nuts, dried cherries, or festive sprinkles elevate it from simple to spectacular. It’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser and a great way to personalize your holiday treats.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the fudge into small bite-sized squares and serve it on a festive platter alongside other holiday goodies like peppermint bark, gingerbread cookies, and candy canes. It pairs beautifully with a hot cup of cocoa or coffee and makes an elegant edible gift when wrapped in parchment paper and tied with a ribbon.

Storage & Freezing

Store White Christmas Fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, keep it in the refrigerator for up to a month. You can also freeze fudge for up to 3 months—just wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

Variations of the Recipe

Feel free to customize this fudge by adding chopped pecans, walnuts, or macadamia nuts for crunch. Swap dried cherries for cranberries or raisins, or sprinkle in crushed peppermint candies for a minty holiday twist. For a colorful touch, mix in holiday-themed sprinkles or edible glitter. No matter how you make it, this White Christmas Fudge will bring sweetness and joy to your celebrations.

Cuisine: American
Ingredients Method

Ingredients

  • ½ cup red candied cherries chopped
  • ½ cup green candied cherries chopped
  • 11 oz white chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Method

Prepare your pan:
  1. Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. This will make removing the fudge easier.
Chop the cherries:
  1. Roughly chop the red and green candied cherries and set them aside.
Melt the chocolate mixture:
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to overheat or burn the chocolate.
Add flavorings:
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Fold in the cherries:
  1. Gently fold in the chopped red and green candied cherries, reserving a few to sprinkle on top if desired.
Transfer to pan:
  1. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
Optional topping:
  1. Sprinkle the reserved chopped cherries evenly over the top and gently press them into the fudge.
Chill:
  1. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 3 hours, or until firm.
Cut and serve:
  1. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper edges. Cut into small squares and serve.
  2. Enjoy!
