Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Stir-fry is a traditional Chinese meal consisting of meat and vegetables prepared in hot oil to speed up the process. As the food cooks, you will feel the inviting aroma of Asian cuisine in your home. You don’t need excellent culinary skills; we share the step-by-step recipe. Grab your apron, and let’s get started!

What makes this recipe so unique?

The Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry is a version of the traditional Chinese recipes. We used ground beef instead of slices for an even distribution of flavors. And the best thing about this dish is that it tastes just like the takeouts. Now, you can prepare a Chinese stir fry at home and save money. Preparing the stir fry in a wok is easier, but you can use a large skillet, too.

What to serve it with?

Traditional stir fry is served along with fried rice. The neutral rice soaks up the sauce, allowing you to feel the flavors without overwhelming them. Fried jasmine rice pairs perfectly with the aromatic dish, breaking down its richness. But you can also serve the beef and cabbage stir fry with an Asian-inspired salad.

Can I substitute the ground beef?

This stir fry is a flexible dish that comes in so many versions. Feel free to switch the ground beef with cubed chicken for a variation of this dish. Beef has a strong taste, so chicken is a milder dish. Want to ditch the meat and prepare a vegetarian stir fry? Replace the beef with tofu and have a delicious meatless lunch option. Tofu has a neutral flavor profile so that it will soak up the aromas of the rich sauce.
