What makes this recipe so unique?
The Chili Cheese Dog Bake recipe features a unique twist on the classic hot dog. Instead of the regular bun, we wrap them in pizza dough to achieve the crunch. The hot dogs have an incredible flavor, stacked over a generous layer of aromatic chili sauce. The sharp cheddar features its bold flavor, adding a cheesy touch to the gourmet experience.
Can I substitute the cheddar?
If you don’t like the strong cheesy note, please replace the cheddar with milder variants. Gouda is a more subtle cheese that melts well, so feel free to add a stick. Een mozzarella works fine for your chili cheese dog bake.
Can I make it less spicy?
The spiciness of this dish depends on how hot the sauce is. The sauce ranges from mild to hot, so feel free to tailor the flavor to your liking. Get a mild or non-spicy sauce if you’re making it for your kids.
