Chocolate chip cookies are one of the most popular cookie varieties ever and, although there are literally hundreds of brands to choose from, nothing is as delicious as homemade cookies. When you bake your own, you will have a kitchen smelling amazing and a batch of incredible cookies still warm from the oven to treat yourself to.

This is a relatively straightforward recipe and even if you don’t often bake you shouldn’t have any problems making these gorgeous chocolate cookies. There is nothing complicated about making them at all. You don’t have to chill anything or buy any unusual ingredients. You might even have everything you need right there.

So, if you want to enjoy some cookies that are both chewy and crisp and bursting with chocolate flavor, this is your recipe! They’re great paired with a cappuccino, a glass of milk or anything else your heart desires.

These cookies don’t tend to last long because they’re delicious! But you can store then in an airtight container at room temperature. They shouldn’t start going soft for 5 days. You can also keep them in the freezer for up to 2 months. Again, use an airtight container or Ziploc freezer bag.

Use any kind of chocolate chips you want, such as milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, or even a mixture. You could even use half chocolate chips and half butterscotch chips.

  • White sugar
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Light brown sugar
  • Baking soda
  • Vanilla extract
  • All-purpose flour
  • Chocolate chips
  • Salt
  • Baking powder

How to make The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line 3 baking trays with parchment paper.

Step 2. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder into a bowl and whisk.

Step 3. Cream the butter with both types of sugar, then beat in the vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.

Step 4. Mix in the dry ingredients and then the chocolate chips.

Step 5. Roll 2 or 3-inch balls of dough and arrange on the baking sheets and flatten.

Step 6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until just beginning to get golden brown at the edges.

Step 7. Let them cool for a few minutes in the baking pans and then put them on wire racks to cool completely.
