Ingredients
- ¾ C. Flour divided
- 4 Bone in pork chops
- 1 Onion sliced
- 2 C. Chicken broth
- 4 tsp. Minced garlic
- ⅓ C. Heavy whipping cream
- 3 Tbsp. Olive oil
- ½ tsp. Garlic powder
- ½ tsp. Onion powder
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 tsp. Paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and salt and pepper to taste to a small bowl.
- Season the pork chops with the seasoning mixture.
- Dredge the seasoned pork chops in ½ cup of flour.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove.
- Sear the pork chops evenly on both sides in the skillet, and then set aside.
- Place the onions in the same skillet, and lower the temperature to medium.
- Saute until the onions have softened.
- Stir in the garlic, and saute for 1 minute.
- Mix in the remaining flour, and saute for 1 minute.
- Whisk in the 2 cups of chicken broth a little at a time.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and toss to coat well in the gravy.
- Reduce the heat to medium low , cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through.
- Pour in the heavy whipping cream, and simmer for another 3 minutes before serving.
