What makes this recipe so unique?
This dish is perfect for foodies, with a combination of shrimp, garlic, and parmesan cheese that guarantees a strong flavor profile. The homemade alfredo sauce from scratch brings flavor and a luxurious texture. Plus, you can easily customize this pasta dish to your liking.
Can I substitute it with other types of pasta?
Although the fettuccine alfredo is traditionally made with fettuccine noodles, you can always replace them with other types of pasta. We understand you might not feel like going to the grocery store when you have spaghetti at home. Go with what pasta you already have, and don’t forget that linguine and penne also work well.
What to serve it with?
Simple finger foods pair nicely with a creamy pasta dish. Or you can go with a light salad with a vinaigrette dressing. The tangy vibe elevates the heaviness of the creamy alfredo sauce.
Can I make it ahead of time?
We don’t recommend making the whole meal ahead of time as the pasta will absorb the sauce and become mushy. You can store the prepared sauce and pasta separately and combine them when ready to serve.
